What you get
For communities in our directory you go straight to their full page. For any other public, safe-for-work subreddit we build the same overview on the spot: member count, posts per day, the busiest days and hours (UTC), what kind of posts it gets, the words that come up most in recent titles, its rules and — when available — this week’s top posts with links to Reddit.
The numbers come from the public Arctic Shift archive and Reddit’s own public feeds, so a lookup takes a few seconds. Live previews are not indexed by search engines; communities that people look up often and that have enough real activity are reviewed for a full page in a later update.
Good to know
- Adult (18+) and quarantined communities are not shown.
- Private or banned subreddits have no public data.
- Member counts for communities outside our Top 1000 come from the archive and can lag behind Reddit by a few weeks.
- We don’t look up user profiles or individual posts.
Examples: r/itookapicture, r/programming, r/formula1.
